My family and I make the 40 minute trek to Hermitage Inn a couple times a year for dinner and they are always very special nights that I look forward to. The food and drinks are outstanding but dessert always takes the cake (heh). My kids love to run around the beautiful grounds in between courses, and the staff are always accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend as a special occasion or treat yourself evening!

I had the pleasure of working with Gina Whalen at the Hermitage Inn while exploring venues for my wedding, and she was an absolute dream from the very start. From our first conversation, she was warm, professional, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. Gina went above and beyond to answer my questions, share thoughtful ideas, and provide beautiful details about what a celebration at the Hermitage could look like. Food was amazing. It felt luxurious, we had an amazing view and were seated by the windows. We were the first guests and they started the fireplace for us. A lot of nice touches all throughout the entire evening. The salad was incredible ambience was beautiful. My husband is a super picky eater and he really enjoyed his meal. Braised short rib was to die fo. Seafood newburg was excellent! Sunday they have a special menu the includes the salad and dessert which was ice cream with dollop of fresh cream. I definitely felt a little under dressed, but I was made to feel very comfortable! Such a great staff and warm environment. Highly recommend. They even gave us both mini macaroons with our check! Max was our server and I would recommend you ask for him. Thank you for a nice experience!

We just returned from another excellent stay at the inn. The grounds were decorated for fall and looked absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast is included in the rate and the variety offered for a small inn continues to impress us as repeat ...

We had a wonderful stay while celebrating our wedding anniversary. The grounds were beautiful, as well as the inn itself, and the room was very comfortable. While there, we enjoyed a private wine tasting and did archery. The owners and other staff members (Leah and Robert) were so lovely and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here! We hope to be back.

From the moment we arrived at The Hermitage Inn, we knew we were in for a special evening. Nick, our host, greeted us warmly, gave us a tour, and helped us find the perfect table — setting the tone for the night. The wine list was outstanding, reminding me of some of the finest wine cellars in NYC. But the real highlight was the incredible staff. Every team member we encountered was kind, patient, professional, and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. And the food — absolutely exceptional! Every dish, from the soup to the entrees, exceeded our expectations. I’ve never had a New York strip so tender and flavorful. Every bite was worth every penny. The Hermitage Inn delivered a five-star experience across the board, and we can’t wait to return!

We stayed at the Hermitage Inn over Thanksgiving with family, and it was an unforgettable experience. The snowstorm that hit during our stay turned the property into a winter wonderland, adding a magical touch to the whole atmosphere. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for unwinding after a day of outdoor activities (close proximity to Mount Snow and other adorable towns to explore). The electric fireplaces in our rooms created such a cozy ambiance, making it the perfect place to relax. Max at the bar made our experience even better. He was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, enhancing our entire trip with his friendly hospitality and amazing cocktail-making skills! He took the time to get to know our preferences, making personalized recommendations that we absolutely loved. His warmth and enthusiasm truly elevated our experience! The whole team at the Hermitage was amazing—attentive, kind, and always ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Overall, our stay at the Hermitage Inn was exceptional, we’ll definitely be back!
